I thought radar detectors takes a 12 volt supply which the usb port wouldn’t supply enough voltage?

@@topgunviper Hi T! Ah yes the RJ11 adapter that FitDVR supplies gets plugged into the 12V DC jack (And the one that I linked in the video description is plugged into the USB port, likely just a simple voltage multiplier or small transformer inside that one) Cheers!

So in this case as the tranny is removed, I check everything that would require me to remove the tranny, since it's out It just makes sense to me, but may also come down to cost and acceptable downtime (the more parts you replace, the more $ you will spent both on parts and labor) Cheers!

Hi AZ! Ah I recommend only using it with it's power supply (the bench test idea is very good, I usually do the same before unwinding the cables or mounting, I just connect the cables and connect it to the car to see that everything works before actually installing it) Cheers!

Hi S! Yep some dash cams generate a lot of heat (specially if running it on 4K). While I converted mine and have not have any heat issues, I would recommend taking at a look at the temperature rating because yes your are right, mounting the dash cam behind the OEM will keep it slightly cooler than mounting it with a direct mount kit. Cheers!

Hi Cristopher! Unfortunately I have not reviewed the Rexing M2 yet, so I'm not sure what kit will fit, however you can measure the back of the dash cam as I showed in video to determine the kit size. And If I do get a hold of one of one, I will measure it for you and update this comment, Cheers!

Yep, if you have many many collisions (and I mean a lot of crashes lol), yes you could potentially fill the memory card with hours of videos of constant crashes (the numbers of hours recorded will vary depending on the size of the memory card and resolution setting, but they will still be many) Cheers!

@@AlexAutoFun my dash cam will turn on and record in parking mode even after i turn off the car and slamming the door and those footage are in the event folder, so that mean i have to delete those manually?

@yourdashcamguy Hi Y! This will depend on the dash cam you are using, but generally, yes, locked videos are protected from loop recording since the dash cam believes they are important (crash) videos. Cheers!

Thanks for prompt reply!! Yes, straps are the allternative but not so nice but I have not found any material on taking out a BMW mirror with the built in led and replacing with a mirror dashcam.

Ah no need for hardwire kit if you only want to control your dash cam turning on and off (since your plug is always on even when the car is off) I use one of this ones amzn.to/3BofzJI to control the lighter port manually and ensure the dash cam turns off and not drain the car's battery. Hi Naeeem! The camera can be pointed in any direction as shown in the video (it stays there when you move it). The selfie mode is different, that turns takes a video and turns back to the front. Cheers!
